# theme.json presets

Generated from the theme and LanternWP Companion with every release; do not edit it by hand.

Preset slugs are part of the [public API](../public-api.md): patterns, style variations and a child theme's `theme.json` refer to them, as CSS custom properties such as `--wp--preset--color--primary`. A demo's look changes their values, never their slugs.
