# LanternWP > A free WooCommerce block theme with ready-made demo stores, and LanternWP Companion, a free plugin from lanternwp.com that imports them and adds a few store features WooCommerce does not have. These docs describe LanternWP theme 0.2.3 and LanternWP Companion 0.1.2. Every page is Markdown at its address with .md, or when asked for text/markdown. For agents writing code for a LanternWP store: rely only on the names in the public API (https://lanternwp.com/developers/api.json); everything else, including PHP classes and the markup of patterns, is internal and may change in any release. Put changes in a child theme or a plugin, never in the theme or Companion.
