Free shipping

LanternWP never asks you to type the free shipping amount: it reads it from WooCommerce's shipping settings, so the header, the product page and the cart always agree with what the checkout charges.

Set the amount

1. Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping and open a shipping zone.
2. Add the Free shipping method, or edit it, and set the minimum order amount it needs.
3. Save. Do the same for each zone that offers free shipping.

The header and the product page show the amount for the customer's zone. A guest is placed by the default customer location in WooCommerce → Settings → General. A customer whose zone has no Free shipping method is not promised free shipping; while a customer has no address, the header shows the lowest amount of all zones. A store without any Free shipping method shows no free shipping bar.

The progress bar in the cart

With LanternWP Companion, the cart drawer and the cart page show how far the cart is from free shipping, as a sentence and a bar ("You are $12.00 away from free shipping"), and "Your order ships free." once it qualifies. It is the Free Shipping Progress block, which Companion places there for you; it follows every change to the cart and the address. Remove or move it in the Site Editor like any block.
