Icons, labels and link tiles

Applies to Theme 0.6.1 Updated 1 November 2026 View as Markdown

The theme's sections use a few small looks again and again: an icon before a line, a label over a heading, a link with an arrow, a badge and a card that is one link. You give them to your own blocks in the block's settings, in the Site Editor or in a page.

Add an icon

  1. Select a Heading, Paragraph, Group or List.
  2. In the block's settings, open Icon and choose one of the icons. None, the first, removes it.
  3. For a heading, paragraph or group, turn on After the text to put the icon after it, as on a link. A list shows the icon before every item, and a paragraph with the Arrow link style shows it before the text, since its arrow is after it.

Give a block a style

Select the block, open the Styles tab of its settings and choose a style under Styles:

Style Blocks What it looks like
Label Paragraph, Heading, Post Terms Small capitals in the theme's label font, as over the home page's sections and on a post's categories.
Arrow link Paragraph A link with an arrow after it, such as "View all". Put one link in the paragraph.
Badge Paragraph A small pill, such as "New".
Sale badge Paragraph The badge in the sale color, such as "Up to −20%".

Default takes the style away. The theme's own sections and the demos use these styles too, so a block you select shows the one it has. In a section of a pattern, select Edit pattern first to reach the styles of the blocks inside it.

A card that leads somewhere, such as a category tile or a promotion, opens its link from anywhere on it: its picture, its heading and its text.

  1. Put one link inside a Group or Cover, such as a paragraph with the Arrow link style.
  2. Select the group or cover and, in its settings, open Card link.
  3. Turn on Link the whole card.

If the card holds no link, the settings say so: add one, or turn the setting off. In the editor the link stays on its own text, so you can still select the blocks inside the card.

If a section stops looking right

Some of the theme's sections get their layout and behavior from settings under Advanced. When you change one of them, the block's settings say what it takes away; undo the change to get the section back.
