Lowest price before a discount

Applies to Companion 0.1.1 Updated 8 October 2026 View as Markdown

Stores in the European Union that announce a price reduction must show the lowest price the product had in the 30 days before it. With LanternWP Companion, a line under the sale price says so: "Lowest price in the 30 days before the discount: $49.00".

Turn it on

  1. Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Products. The Lowest price before a discount section is near the end of the page.
  2. Tick Lowest price and select Save changes.

The line appears wherever WooCommerce shows the price of a product on sale: on product cards, on the product page and for the chosen variation.

Where the prices come from

Companion records each product's price from the moment it is active, and knows no earlier prices. A product that was already on sale when Companion was activated has no price recorded from before its discount, so it shows no line until its next discount.
