Product page layouts

Applies to Theme 0.6.1 Updated 27 October 2026 View as Markdown

LanternWP's product page comes in three layouts:

  • Product page (the theme's own): the pictures in two columns beside the buy column, with the description, specifications and shipping in sections that open (Common Goods).
  • Product page with a buy panel: the name across the page, then the pictures, the key specifications and a framed buy panel side by side (Kilowatt).
  • Product page with stacked pictures: every picture, two to a row, from the edge of the screen right under the header, beside a buy column that stays in view while the pictures scroll past (Tessel). Choosing a color scrolls the pictures to that color's picture. The buy column opens on Details, the short description over the specifications; the long description and shipping follow, closed. On phones the pictures swipe one at a time.

Each layout ends with related products, in your store's product card (Choose the product card), and the product's reviews. Both are filled in from the store for each product, also after you choose a layout and save: a product's cross-sells, set in Product data → Linked Products → Cross-sells, show as Frequently bought together, other products from its categories and tags as You may also like, and a product without reviews says "No reviews yet." In the Site Editor these sections are captioned Filled in from the store and locked for editing. To leave one out, delete it; to bring it back, see Bring back a removed section.

Switch the layout

  1. Go to Appearance → Editor → Templates and open Single Product.
  2. In the template's settings, open Design and choose a layout.
  3. Select Save.

To go back, choose Product page the same way, or reset the template. With LanternWP Companion, every layout keeps the product's set before the related products (Product sets): after you switch, set its heading again in the Product Sets block's settings.

Order the pictures by color

With stacked pictures, put each color's pictures together in the product's gallery, in the order of its colors, and give each color's variation its first picture as the variation's image. Choosing a color then scrolls to its group.
